Meet Nathanarchy: Art is Life... It's time we live a little

I love making things!  I love art! I love staring into the abyss that is my brain. I love the paint that stains my hands and doesn't wash off for days.  If it was not for art I very likely would not be here today.  There is no doubt in my mind that Art has saved my life.

Though not formally trained in the art of painting.  I have been making art for as long as I can remember.  I have degrees in Marketing and Graphic Design.  I have a Press Technician degree.  I have many other certificates and pieces of paper that says that I can do things.  I was active duty in the Army twice and have received an Honorable discharge both times.   Art helps me to deal with some of the darkness in my mind.  There are days when all I want to do is to go to sleep and never wake up.  Those days are the days that I sit myself down and paint until the universe makes sense. 

Upon my initial release from the Military, I was a bit of a mess. Those were dark times indeed. However, with art I made it thru and I survived. Some of my friends didn't. It is with the memory of those we have lost that AIM Art is Medicine and Education Center has been created.

I'm still alive and I owe it to those who left this earth sooner than they were supposed to leave. I owe it to their memories to continue my path in art and continue to help others when, where and how I can.
